International Affiliates of the Hombu Dojo

The Meibukan Hombu Dojo began in 1952 and within 8 years began it’s worldwide growth of affiliate dojos. During his life its founder, Yagi Meitoku – Dai Sensei, appointed a number of representatives. Along with Japanese and Okinawan affiliates, the Meibukan had its first international affiliate in 1960 when Anthony Mirakian of the USA opened North American first school of Okinawan Goju Ryu. Along with Japan, Okinawa, and USA, the Hombu Dojo today also has affiliates in India, Canada, and Australia.

Please Note:
Although Cristofoli Clemente is the official Hombu dojo representative of Meibukan, Kancho Johanes Wong was the first Meibukan practitioner from Australia and is a recognized teacher of Meibukan.
