Dai Sensei Yagi Meitoku founded the Meibukan Hombu Dojo in 1952 while his teacher, Chojun Miyagi was alive. Since then he has contributed to Okinawan Karate to be revered by many all over the world. It was on this day, 9 years ago that he passed away leaving behind a legacy of stories and achievements.

Master YAGI Meitetsu is happy to be coming to Canada in March to celebrate his father’s 100th birth anniversary. His father, Dai Sensei YAGI Meitoku, accomplished many things throughout his life. On display in Canada will be Dai Sensei favorite kimono, rare examples of his shodo, and a charted time lineage of the karate and Dai Sensei’s accomplishments. While visiting Canada, he will also be leading informative workshops on Karate and Seitai.
